Here is the most beautiful mural that my teaching partner created with our kiddos!

Every child sponge painted their own flower and sponge painted grass. When they finished, she had them paint their egg cartons green. She had them put in the toothpicks for the pins that come out of their backs for protection from other insects! The kids were so LOVING this activity!

Here is the "almost finished" product of the kinder jungle book theme.  The students created their own vines and they all got to choose how to hang the vines as well as their chimps!  When we finished our butterflies, we went and stapled them to the vines which created a 3-D effect of actually being in the jungle!  Our entire school is turning into a JUNGLE for the Jungle Book play at the end of the year!!

Today we painted our paper plates for tomorrow's ART day in kindergarten!  We are rotating every 30 minutes to do a different art integration lesson!  My classroom is integrating Math using geometric shapes and symmetry!  The kids were so excited when I showed them what they were going to make!

Our 4th and 5th graders are going to do a play on the Jungle book at the end of the year.  The entire school are doing character studies and mini units around the Jungle book theme!  Today we created a jungle like scene using butcher paper! They twisted brown vines and we taped on our leaves!  Later we glued on our chimpanzees. Most at least resembled the ape family!  It was great!  I'll post pics later to show what our school has turned into!  It is just fantastic.
